"When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories we get to write the ending."

"Cuando negamos nuestras historias, estas nos definen. Cuando nos apoderamos de nuestras historias, conseguimos escribir el final."

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT WITH
AMOR THERAPY

Welcome! Starting therapy can be scary at first and you may have a lot of questions. I'm here to support and guide you in your healing journey. Perhaps you're down, sad, or anxious - maybe you're unsure or worried about the future of your life or your relationship, or just feel stuck and that you aren't living the life you were meant to live. Whichever your needs may be, I am here to offer support.

Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in our sessions, we'll work together towards understanding your emotions, provide healthy coping skills, set healthy boundaries, improve your relationships, and find the answers that lie within you. Together we will work to help you reach your goals so you can feel more secure, confident, in control of your life, have a clearer vision of the future, and cultivate and maintain healthy relationships.

Healing is a Journey

With You Every Step of the Way

I provide a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy that provides emotional safety and builds trust. I specialize in working with adults in individual therapy dealing with  family relationship issues, dating dilemmas and the recovery of narcissistic abuse (emotional abuse). Within that we explore underlying problems with depression, anxiety, unresolved trauma, low self-esteem/low self-confidence, people pleasing behaviors, grief and loss, codependency, self-love, and phase of life issues. I also provide bicultural and bilingual services in Spanish and offer evening hours. I am happy to discuss your needs to assure we will be the right fit.

To Love and be Loved

The first step in having a meaningful relationship is to know yourself and what you want. Often times we get into relationships without truly knowing ourselves, what we want from life, what we value, and what we expect from one another.

Being in a healthy relationship can help you thrive and become more of who are you are, but when you're in an unhealthy relationship it can make you physically, mentally, and emotionally sick -you're unhappy. I help you heal from a broken heart, navigate the dating world, and/or help make your current relationship more fulfilling. Let me help you find the best in yourself and your relationships.

THOSE WHO CAN'T LOVE YOU THE WAY YOU WANT:
Recovery of Narcissistic Abuse

  • Are you in a relationship with someone who shows you love, attention, and concern and then withholds it from you?

  • Can't take responsibility for their wrongdoings and then makes you feel you like you wronged them?

  • Constantly criticizes you and others but disguises these criticisms as genuine concern?

  • Doesn't value you, your time, and/or your positive efforts?

  • Repeatedly minimizes your success and accomplishments yet, enthusiastically shares about them to others because it makes them look good?

  • Hates your independence and uses guilt tactics to sabotage your efforts?

  • Have you wondered if they care about you or even truly love you?

  • If this sounds like your relationship, you may be dealing with Narcissistic abuse.

This may be happening with a close family member, significant other, friend, co-worker, or boss. Narcissistic abuse is painful, isolating, confusing, and makes you feel "crazy."

I can help guide you through the process of healing. It's possible for you to become aware of these toxic ties and regain your life and power back.
